Sundered Veil is a Dark Fantasy-styled board game where a group of Adventurers, granted the power of resurrection, battle hordes of malevolent creatures to confront the Gædraille, Matron of The Harvest, a harbinger of corruption intent on consuming a somber and beautiful world.

Sundered Veil punishes, rewards, and immerses players in a world both hauntingly beautiful and perilously deadly, where every decision carries weight and every battle is hard-fought.

Inspired by Souls-like games, Sundered Veil was produced as a final project during UCF's Game Design course. (Fall 2024)

Install instructions

1. Download the Game Files

  • Click the Download button to get the Sundered Veil Game Assets (.zip) and Rulesheet (PDF).
  • Extract the .zip file using your preferred file extraction software (WinRAR, 7-Zip, or built-in OS tools).

Playing Physically

2. Print & Prepare

  • Print the game board, cards, and tokens from the assets folder.
  • Follow the Rulesheet (PDF) for setup instructions.

3. Gather Additional Materials

To play Sundered Veil physically, you'll need: 

  •  A standard six-sided dice (d6) and ten-sided dice (d10) 
  •  Player markers or miniatures (optional but recommended) 
  •  A notepad or tracking sheet for HP and resources

4. Set Up & Play

  • Arrange the board and place tokens as outlined in the Rulesheet.
  • Each player selects an Adventurer and prepares starting equipment.
  • Follow the turn-based mechanics to explore, battle enemies, and face the Gædraille, Matron of The Harvest.

Playing Digitally

2. Import Assets to a Virtual Tabletop

  • You can play Sundered Veil using Tabletop Simulator, Tabletopia, or a custom VTT setup.
  • Import the game board, tokens, and card assets into your preferred digital tabletop platform.

3. Setup & Play Online

  • Use built-in dice rollers or external rolling tools.
  • Assign roles, track stats using shared documents or note-taking apps.
  • Follow the Rulesheet (PDF) just as you would in a physical session.
